Quickstart
Fluidify Regen Cloud is the hosted version of Regen. Create a workspace, connect an alert source and your chat tool, set up who is on call, and send a test alert. It takes about 10 minutes, and every workspace starts with a 30-day free trial.
If you would rather run Regen on your own infrastructure, see Self-host quickstart.
1. Create your workspace
Go to regen.fluidify.ai/signup and fill in:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Used to sign in. We send a confirmation link here. | |
| Password | At least 12 characters. |
| Organization name | Your company or team, for example Acme Inc. |
| Workspace address | Your workspace's address, 3 to 40 characters, for example acme. The form tells you whether it is available. |
You can also tick the option to add sample incidents, so the dashboard is not empty while you look around before connecting anything real. Sample incidents are labelled Sample and are left out of your analytics.
Open the link in the confirmation email to finish. The link expires after 24 hours, and nothing is created until you open it. If it expires, sign up again.
2. Follow the setup wizard
The first time you sign in, a short wizard walks you through the essentials.
| Step | What you do | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Alerts | Connect an alert source such as Prometheus, Grafana or CloudWatch. | Core setup |
| Chat | Connect Slack so alerts and incidents appear in your channels. | Optional |
| Coverage | Set up on-call. Choose Starting fresh (name one accountable person and your time zone, and Regen makes a first rotation) or Migrating an existing setup (import from Grafana OnCall, PagerDuty or Opsgenie). | Core setup |
| Team | Invite teammates by email. | Optional |
| Verify | Send a test alert and watch it arrive. | Recommended |
Detailed guides for each part:
- Alert sources: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch and any tool that can send a webhook.
- Connect Slack, Microsoft Teams (beta) or Telegram.
- On-call schedules and escalation paths.
3. Send a test alert
On the last wizard step, send a test alert. It should:
- Appear in the workspace's alert list.
- Page the person currently on call.
- Post to your connected chat channel.
If any of these does not happen, the step before it needs another look. The most common cause is an on-call schedule with no one in the current time slot.
4. Work through the activation checklist
After the wizard, the dashboard shows a checklist until you have finished the setup. It checks your real workspace state, so items tick themselves off:
- Connect an alert source.
- Connect a chat tool.
- Invite a teammate.
- Create an on-call schedule.
- Create an escalation policy.
- Resolve your first incident.
The last item completes when a real incident has been opened and resolved. See the incident lifecycle.
Your trial
Your trial lasts 30 days from workspace creation. We email you with 6 days and 2 days left, and on the last day. If you have not subscribed when it ends, the workspace is locked, including alerting and paging. Your data is kept, and subscribing restores access straight away. See Billing and your trial and pricing.
