Connect Discord
Connect Discord to give each incident its own channel in your Discord server and manage incidents with slash commands.
What you get
- An incident channel. When an incident opens, Regen creates a text channel for it in your Discord server, so your responders can work in one place.
- Slash commands to manage incidents without leaving Discord (see below).
Connect your server
You need to be a workspace admin in Regen, and have permission to add bots to the Discord server.
- In Regen, open Integrations.
- On the Discord card, choose Connect Discord.
- Discord asks which server to add Regen to and which permissions to grant. Choose your server and authorize.
- You are returned to Regen. The Discord card now shows Connected and the name of your server.
If something goes wrong during the install, Regen returns you to the Integrations page with a message explaining what happened.
Slash commands
Type these in Discord. /ack, /resolve and /status act on the incident for the channel you are in.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ack | Acknowledge this incident. |
/resolve | Resolve this incident. |
/status | Show the incident's status. |
/new title:… severity:… | Declare a new incident. title is required. severity is optional: Critical, High, Medium or Low. |
Disconnect
On the Discord card, use the disconnect option. Incident channels and Discord slash commands then stop for your workspace.
